The pads are made in Italy by Cervellati. Same extra-light material, same outstanding recoil absorption as the Microcell Ultra-Light recoil pads. These pads can be ground to match any stock butt, and their ergonomic shape guarantees great stability while raising the gun and during the shot.
Fitting Tips: Microcell pads have metal rings around the holes, 6 mm wide more than the hole. It is important to use a screw with a countersunk head. When you tighten the screw, it's more resistant than just the plastic of the plate.
To grind the toe end of the pad, it is necessary to use a high-speed machine with a 400 grit sanding belt for finishing. The product does not melt. However, failing to use a fine sanding belt might damage the pad's external appearance. Best results can be achieved using a new and lubricated belt, and the stock should be gently drawn close to the belt.
Really happy with the result! I've got a 12 gauge double and I went with a 25mm Microcell. Super light. It didn't change the balance and the recoil reduction is excellent. I can feel it compress slightly when the gun fires.
